Pierre Jean-Jacques Gasly (born February 7, 1996) is a French Formula 1 driver who currently races for BWT Alpine F1. Gasly made his Grand Prix debut part way through the 2017 season as a replacement for then-outgoing driver Daniil Kvyat.
Scuderia Toro Rosso and Red Bull Racing
Gasly raced for Scuderia Toro Rosso in his first full Formula 1 season in 2018, after his replacement drives with the Faenza-based team in the previous season. Promoted to Red Bull Racing for 2019, he contested just 12 rounds before being demoted back to his previous team. Despite the setback, Gasly would score his maiden Formula 1 podium at the Brazilian Grand Prix later that same season.
Scuderia AlphaTauri
Gasly remained with Red Bull’s second team in 2020, which had been rebranded as Scuderia AlphaTauri. The French driver notably won the 2020 Italian Grand Prix, and would stand on the podium a third time before leaving the team at the end of 2022.
BWT Alpine F1 Team
The BTW Alpine F1 Team signed Gasly in 2023, after the seat was vacated by Fernando Alonso. His first teammate at the French squad was childhood friend and fellow French driver Esteban Ocon. Gasly has finished on the podium twice with Alpine so far, and continues to compete for the Enstone-based team.
H. Moser & Cie
H. Moser & Cie was announced as the global partner of Alpine Motorsports in 2024 and also formed a personal partnership with Gasly in the same year, which was a first for the brand. Gasly’s first collaboration with H. Moser, two versions of the Streamliner Tourbillon Pierre Gasly (refs. 6805-0410 and 6805-0411) was announced on October 1 of 2025.
The French driver would also wear a custom H. Moser & Cie-themed helmet at the Singapore Grand Prix a few days later, to commemorate the launch.
