Franco Morbidelli

Franco Morbidelli (born December 4, 1994) is an Italian MotoGP rider currently riding for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team on Ducati machinery. He is also the 2013 European Superstock 600 champion as well as the 2017 Moto2 World Champion. Morbidelli is also a protégé of seven-time MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi.

MotoGP

Morbidelli entered the MotoGP class as the reigning Moto2 champion in 2018 with Marc VDS, riding a year-old spec Honda alongside fellow rookie and former title rival Thomas Lüthi.

Morbidelli signed with Petronas Yamaha SRT for 2019, and would go on to achieve all three of his MotoGP wins so far with the Malaysian squad. He stayed with the team until the first eight rounds of 2021 as Valentino Rossi’s teammate before being promoted to the Yamaha factory team after Yamaha abruptly ended their contract with Maverick Viñales. Morbidelli remained with Yamaha until the end of 2023.

The Italian rider signed with Prima Pamac Racing for 2024 alongside eventual title winner Jorge Martin. Morbidelli stayed on Ducati machinery for 2025 after signing with Rossi’s VR46 Racing Team.

Sector No Limits

After previously sponsoring Jorge Lorenzo from 2013 to 2015, Sector No Limits returned to MotoGP after announcing Morbidelli as a global brand ambassador in 2021.
