Zhou Guanyu (born May 30, 1999) is the first and so far only Chinese racing driver to compete in Formula 1. He raced for Sauber alongside Valtteri Bottas from 2022 to 2024, with the Swiss team operating as Alfa Romeo during Zhou’s first two seasons. After a dismal final season in 2024 where Zhou scored the team’s only points of the season, Sauber opted to go with a new driver lineup with Nico Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto.
Zhou served as a reserve driver for Scuderia Ferrari in 2025, before being signed for the role by Cadillac in 2026.
Rebellion Timepieces
Rebellion Timepieces partnered with the Alfa Romeo F1 Team Orlen in 2022 and released the RE-Volt Zhou Guanyu C42 and the RE-Volt Valtteri Bottas C42. The exclusive timepieces were limited to 50 pieces each, with Zhou’s model incorporating fragments of the #24 car’s sidepod.
