Omologato is a British watch brand founded in 2015 by designer Shami Kalra and is based in Windsor, England. Inspired by cars and motorsport, the brand also has direct involvement in racing via their partnerships with racing series, teams, and circuits from around the world.
Early Omologato Models
Early timepieces included Grand Prix nods right out of the gate, such as the Omologato Official Hesketh Racing Chrono announced in 2015. Two years later, the Omologato Official James Hunt Chronograph was released to celebrate the 70 year anniversary of the British driver’s birth. The timepiece came in a silver or black case with a dial featuring Hunt’s distinct red, blue, and yellow stripes from his helmet, and limited to 750 pieces each. The Surtees, created in honor of John Surtees, was also released in the same year.

Grand Prix Circuits Limited Editions
Partnerships formed by Omologato included Grand Prix circuits past and present such as Monza Circuit (2018), Watkins Glen (2020), Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari Imola (2021), Indianapolis Motor Speedway (2022), and Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (2022). Limited edition timepieces have been created for each: The Official Monza Chronograph, Monza Black Chronograph, Watkins Glen® Chronograph, IMOLA Acque Minerali Di Corsa, Brickyard Edition Chronograph, and Portimao Di Corsa.
Ferrari-Inspired Pieces
Other timepieces commemorate specific moments in Grand Prix history, such as the Omologato Classic Timer Maranello ’61 that pays tribute to Scuderia Ferrari‘s 1961 season. The Tifosi line has also been released, named after fans of the Italian squad.
Jim Bamber Editions
Omologato has also worked with British cartoonist Jim Bamber’s family to produce a short run of timepieces featuring the legendary artist’s work. The Jim Bamber #1 featured a cartoon of Fernando Alonso giving Mark Webber a ride in his Ferrari after the 2013 Singapore Grand Prix. The Australian driver’s RB9 had failed to finish the race, and he was also hit with a 10-place grid penalty for accepting the ride.
