Junghans Uhren GmbH is a German watch and clock manufacturer that was originally founded in 1861 by Erhard Junghans, and is currently based in Schramberg, Germany. The company’s first wristwatches were produced in 1927, and has since been associated with Max Bill after the Bauhaus-trained designer began working for the brand.
Official Timekeeper of Grand Prix Races in Europe
According to a print ad for the brand’s Grand Prix Collection, Junghans served as the Official Timekeeper of Grand Prix races in Europe during the 1980 season. The ad also included details on how to win all-inclusive trips to select Grand Prix events.
It is not well documented whether the Grand Prix Collection was officially licensed.
