Renault became a Formula 1 constructor in 1977, and operated as a French-based team until 1985. After a stint as a Formula 1 engine supplier, Renault returned to the Grand Prix grid as a works team from 2002 to 2011, and from 2016 until 2020. The team has operated under the Alpine name since 2021.
Tissot was a sponsor of Team Renault during this time. No team edition watches were released for the French team.
Sometime during the decade, Breitling released a Chronomat Renault F1 Team special edition. Details of the release are not well documented, nor was Renault operating as a works team during this time.
Chronotech served as a sponsor of Renault, with a number of limited edition team models released during this time.
Bell & Ross was announced as a partner of Renault after the French team made its second return to the Formula 1 grid in 2016. The partnership ran through 2020, and remained active after the team rebranded as Alpine for the 2021 season.
