Allan McNish

Allan McNish (born December 29, 1969) is a British commentator and journalist who competed in Formula 1 with Toyota for the 2002 season. From late 1989 to 1992, he had also tested various Formula 1 cars with McLaren and Benetton.

Toyota F1

McNish made his Formula 1 debut in 2002 with Toyota, alongside Mika Salo. The Toyota TF102 proved uncompetitive, with the British driver failing to score any points. Both drivers were replaced after the end of the season.

Renault F1 Test Driver

McNish spent 2003 as a test driver for Renault F1, with Jarno Trulli and Fernando Alonso as racing drivers.

Oris

Oris signed a two-year agreement as a sponsor of McNish ahead of his Formula 1 debut. In addition to the Oris logo appearing on the British driver’s racing suit and helmet, the Swiss brand had also released the Oris TT1 Allan McNish Limited Edition (ref. 635 7519 44 83) at some point. The timepiece was shipped in a replica helmet presentation case and featured a left-sided crown, McNish’s name and helmet design on the dial, his logo on the side of the case, a reproduction of his signature on the red rotor, and limited to 1,000 pieces.

Whether or not the partnership had continued into 2003 is not well documented.
