Super Royal

Super Royal is a historic Swiss watch brand that appears to have originated in the  early 20th century. According to Mikrolisk, the name has been registered on at least three occasions: First on December 12, 1937 by Paul-Virgile MathezMathez SA in Tramelan, Switzerland, on August 31, 1938 by Giacomo Grassigli, and on February 23, 1978 by G. Giani. The latter two registrations both occurred in Bologne, Italy.

Various listings of vintage Super Royal watches have cited years between the 1920s through 1990s.

Custom Commissions by Enzo Ferrari

Super Royal has also been identified as one of several brands that were used for private commissions by Enzo Ferrari, starting in the 1950s. These pre-commercial Ferrari-branded watches were ordered in small batches from Gerardo Veronesi, a Bolognese jeweler, and gifted to the drivers, colleagues, and friends of Enzo. Other brands involved in these early examples included Lemania, Longines, Vetta, and Zenith.
