Takuma Sato

Takuma Sato (born January 28, 1977) is a Japanese racing driver who competed in Formula 1 between 2002 and 2008. He has raced for Jordan, Lucky Strike BAR Honda, and Super Aguri. His only F1 podium finish came at the 2004 United States Grand Prix in Indianapolis behind Ferrari drivers Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello.

After his F1 career, Sato has also notably won the Indianapolis 500 in 2017 and 2020.

Seiko

The Seiko Ignition Takuma Sato (ref. SBHS013) was announced in 2005, in what would be Sato’s final year with BAR Honda. The Japanese driver’s name featured on the dial with his signature on the case back. The atomic solar model was limited to 3,000 pieces.

Breitling Japan Racers Squad

Ten years after his retirement from F1, Sato was announced as one of Breitling‘s Japan Racers Squad ambassadors in late 2018. Fellow members included then-MotoGP rider Takaaki Nakagami and Red Bull Air Race pilot Yoshihide Muroya.
