Ricardo Rodríguez

Ricardo Valentín Rodríguez de la Vega (February 14, 1942 – November 1, 1962) was the first Mexican racing driver to compete in Formula 1, and has taken five Grand Prix starts for Scuderia Ferrari between 1961 to 1962. He was killed in a practice accident at the non-championship I Gran Premio de Mexico on what would later be renamed the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, named after him and older brother Pedro Rodríguez.

Hublot

The Hublot Big Bang Aero Bang Scuderia Rodríguez (ref. 311.QX.1129.HR.MEX11) was announced in 2011 to commemorate the younger Rodríguez brother. The chronograph featured a carbon fiber and epoxy case, with a reproduction of Ricardo’s signature appearing on the crystal. Like the two other Scuderia Rodríguez editions that are dedicated to his brother, all models feature the Scuderia Rodríguez logo on the case back and a red, white, and green chronograph second hand.
