Pastor Rafael Maldonado Motta (born March 9, 1985) is a Venezuelan former Grand Prix driver who raced in Formula 1 from 2011 to 2015. He has driven for Williams and Lotus.
Williams
Maldonado made his Formula 1 debut in 2011 with Williams, the team he would remain with through 2013. He has notably won the 2012 Spanish Grand Prix, ahead of Fernando Alonso and Kimi Räikkönen. Maldonado had a total of seven points-finishes for the British outfit.
Lotus
The Venezuelan driver was signed by the Lotus F1 team for the 2014 season, alongside Romain Grosjean. He raced for Lotus for two seasons, and was due to remain on board for 2016 but was ultimately replaced after Lotus was bought by Renault.
Skeleton Concept
Skeleton Concept announced the Pastor Maldonado Concept in September of 2021. The bespoke chronograph was based on a Rolex Daytona, with an additional 45 pieces created as a limited edition.
