Daniel John Sullivan III (born March 9, 1950) is an American former racing driver who competed in the 1983 Formula 1 season. Better known as Danny Sullivan, he drove alongside Michele Alboreto for the Benetton Tyrrell Team and scored a best result of fifth at the 1983 Monaco Grand Prix. Sullivan has also notably finished on the podium at the 1983 Race of Champions, the final non-championship Formula 1 race.
Appearance in Swatch Ad
Sullivan has also featured in a print ad for Swatch, wearing what appeared to be his Shierson Racing driving suit upon his 1984 return to CART. No known driver edition releases have been documented.
Szanto
American watch brand Szanto launched the ICON Signature Series in late 2018 with a Danny Sullivan edition chronograph. Announced on the brand’s Instagram account, at least four variations were released with different dial and subdial colors, bezel finishes, and strap options. All feature Danny Sullivan’s name along with two checkered flags on the dial.
