Szanto was founded in 2013 by Barry Cohen in California. The brand has an emphasis on vintage-inspired timepieces, from early 20th century through the 1970s. Szanto watches are currently manufactured and distributed by Time Concepts.
Danny Sullivan
The Szanto ICON Signature Series Danny Sullivan edition chronograph was announced on November 12, 2018 on the Szanto Instagram account, which featured a silver panda dial and black tachymeter bezel. Additional versions with steel bezels with a silver panda dial, reverse panda dial, and all-black dial have also been posted. All feature a pair of checkered flags along with “Danny Sullivan” on the dial.
At least three different straps have also been pictured with the chronograph, which included what appeared to be a rubber strap with tire tread pattern, and vintage leather racing straps in black and brown.
The brand website describes the line as a collection of “watches tied to famous individuals who have made their mark in a variety of fields”, and have since grown to include Shane Dorian, Frank Stephenson, and Roland Sands
