Locman Italy was founded on the Island of Elba in 1986 by Marco Mantovani and Fulvio Locci. The brand name was formed from a combination of the founders’ initials. The early years were spent designing and producing watches for other brands, before the worldwide distribution of Locman-branded timepieces began in the 1990s.
Ducati
A partnership with Ducati was formed in 2017. The first models from the collaboration were released in 2018, with a second series announced in 2019. Ducati models currently remain part of the Locman catalogue, and can be found on the Ducati website as well.
While there does not seem to be any direct tie-in with the Ducati MotoGP team, the Locman YouTube account does include a video titled Ducati Teaser 2022 MotoGP. This appears to indicate that MotoGP has been adjacent to the brand’s marketing.
