Lapizta

Lapizta is a Florida-based American watch brand that was founded by Naty Mizrachi and Daniel Schachtel in 2010. The brand name is based on “la pista”, Spanish for racetrack. Lapizta’s product lines are inspired by skydiving, motorsports, and boating.

The brand is exclusively carried by to The Slate Watch Company, according to the company website.

Yonny Hernandez

Colombian MotoGP rider Yonny Hernandez was announced as a brand ambassador in November of 2014. He could be seen wearing Lapizta chronographs during press events in 2015, which mostly appear to be from the brand’s Accentor line.

MotoGP: Pramac Racing

Lapizta also had a presence in MotoGP as the official timekeeper of Pramac Racing in 2015. The brand logo was not on the team’s Ducati Desmosedici GP14s, but was featured alongside the full list of team sponsors at the team launch.

During the season, the brand maintained a strong presence both inside the team garage and on the wrists of Hernandez and team boss Francesco Guidotti. Guidotti is also listed as an ambassador on The Slate Watch Company website. No officially licensed team or rider watches were involved in the partnership.

Steven Goldstein

Formula 1 reserve driver Steven Goldstein has also served as a brand ambassador.
