Jacques Lemans GmbH was founded in 1975 by Alfred Riedl and is currently headquartered in Carinthia, Austria. Since its origins as a watch brand, the family-owned business has since expanded into jewelry as well and has a global presence across over 120 countries.
Agreement with Bernie Ecclestone
On January 20, 2006, Walter Wolf helped facilitate an exclusive deal between then-Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone and Jacques Lemans to produce the F1 Collection which made its debut at Baselworld that same year. Priced between €190 to €390 while still retaining F1 car-inspired materials, Jacques Lemans F1 watches were fairly accessible and also sparked new international markets for the brand. A special airline edition was also announced, available only on select airlines and duty free shops. Hublot became the Official Watchmaker of Formula 1 in 2010, but did not appear to interrupt the Austrian brand’s association with the series.
Walter Wolf
Jacques Lemans has also produced a limited edition Walter Wolf ana digi chronograph. Not much information can be found on it at the moment, other than the fact that Walter Wolf has been a known partner of CEO and company owner Alfred Riedl.
