Gagà Milano was founded in 2004 by Italian entrepreneur Ruben Tomella, who had grown up in a family business of making straps. According to the brand website,a “Gagà” is loosely defined as an early 20th century Italian gentleman. The brand’s Swiss branch, Gagà Manufacture, was founded in 2012.
GO&FUN Honda Gresini
Gagà Milano was announced as an official sponsor of the Faenza-based GO&FUN Honda Gresini MotoGP team in 2013, with team founder Fausto Gresini calling it a two year deal. In addition to being a part of general team branding, the Gagà Milano logo appeared on the front fairing of both the Honda RC213V of Álvaro Bautista and FTR-Honda MGP13 of , as well as on the racing suits of both riders.
The press release also mentioned plans to release a team edition watch in a limited edition of 500 pieces. At least one print ad from La Gazzeta dello Sport highlighted what appears to be a Chrono (ref. 6054.2), or a variant of it. Visible features include a black case, bezel, and dial with lime green subdial hands, numbers, and strap. Whether or not this was the team watch from the press release cannot currently be confirmed, although an Instagram post from October 16, 2014 showed a visually similar piece that included #teamgresini and #specialedition in its tags.
Gagà Milano also may have had a direct partnership with fellow team sponsor GO&FUN, as suggested in a Japanese ad from 2014. Despite the absence of a clear MotoGP tie-in, a Gresini-liveried minibike featured in this particular ad.
Aprilia Racing Team Gresini
The Gresini team was renamed as Aprilia Racing Team Gresini in 2015, after ending their long term partnership with Honda to become the de facto Aprilia factory team. Gagà Milano branding continued to appear on the Aprilia RS-GP of Álvaro Bautista and Marco Melandri that year, as well as Melandri’s mid-season replacement Stefan Bradl.
Friends of the Brand
While details are not well documented, former MotoGP rider Loris Capirossi has previously been listed as a friend of the brand. Nicolò Bulega, who went on to make two MotoGP starts during the 2025 season as a replacement for Marc Márquez, has also been included.
