Cyrus

Cyrus Genève is based in Le Locle, Switzerland and was founded in 2010 by the Richard family, who have an extensive background of global luxury brands. The brand maintains a focus on mechanical innovation and unconventional style, and has partnered with Swiss master watchmaker Jean-Francois Mojon. Mojon founded Chronode in 2005, and has also worked with companies like Czapek, HYT, MB&F, and Urban Jürgensen. According to the company website, the brand’s vision has been summarized as the “conquest of innovation”.

Cyrus remains independently owned by Dr. Pablo Richard, who also serves as the company president.

2012 Monaco Grand Prix

Cyrus announced two Monaco Grand Prix 2012 models through its Kuros line in March of that year. Both models featured titanium cases and limited to 99 pieces, with one sporting a black DLC bezel and red accents (ref. 598.121.B) and the other with an 18K red gold bezel and accents (ref. 598.221.B). Licensing details with the event or track, if any, are not well documented.

Partnership with Haas F1

A year without a watch sponsor after their Richard Mille deal ended in 2020, the Haas F1 team partnered with Cyrus for the 2022 Formula 1 season. While Cyrus did not produce any Haas F1 or F1 edition watches, drivers Kevin Magnussen and Mick Schumacher both wore Cyrus timepieces during the season. Their logo also appeared alongside a series of other sponsors on the sidepod of the Haas VF-22.
