Candino Watch Co. Ltd. was founded in 1947 by Adolf Flury-Hug in Herbetswil, Switzerland. The brand has been owned by the Festina Group since 2002.
Red Bull Sauber Petronas
According to the company website, Candino signed an agreement with the Red Bull Sauber Petronas Formula 1 team in 1998. An image of a Candino Red Bull Sauber Petronas C-F1 with white numbers appears as an illustration. The carbon fiber cased model also came in at least three other dial variations: one with checkered flag indices, yellow indices and what appears to be a single starting light at 12 o’clock, and yellow pointed indices. All have a 3 o’clock date window, with a Red Bull Sauber Petronas-branded storage tin appearing in recent online listings for the watch.
Some listings have 1999 as the year of release, although this cannot be independently verified. Licensing details and context are also not well documented.
