Ateliers deMonaco

Ateliers deMonaco was founded in 2008 by Pim Koeslag, Robert van Pappelendam, and Peter Stas. Originally established in Monaco, the brand was relocated to Geneva in 2015. Ateliers deMonaco is currently owned by the Citizen Group, which acquired the brand in 2016.

The current status of the brand is currently unknown, with its social media accounts inactive since late 2020.

Grand Prix de Monaco 1966

In 2016, Ateliers deMonaco created the Tourbillon Ronde d’Or Grand Prix de Monaco 1966 (ref. dMc-TB-GP2-WG) to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the event. The pièce unique features a hand-engraved white gold dial that illustrates the 1966 Monaco Grand Prix poster, which featured Ferrari driver John Surtees being chased by Graham Hill in the BRM P261.

Grand Prix de Monaco 1968

Ateliers deMonaco created another bespoke timepiece in 2018 to mark both the brand’s tenth anniversary as well as the 50th anniversary of the 1968 Monaco Grand Prix. The Grand Prix de Monaco 1968 (ref. dMc-MC-GP3-WG) also features a hand-engraved white gold dial, with the event poster serving as the subject. This time, the subject is Denny Hulme in a Brabham-Repco with Graham Hill once again in pursuit.
